Carbon Monoxide: Are You Singing in the Choir or Just Humming? (Things the Hummers Don’t Know)
It’s been some time since we’ve had Jim Davis present at Comfortech and we’re very pleased that he’s opted to join us once again. If you’ve ever taken a CO class from Jim, you know he is one of the industry’s foremost experts on the cause of CO and how to eliminate/prevent the issue from harming your customers. In this session, he’ll dispel myths such as Carbon Monoxide Alarms stop CO poisonings, Fall Clean & Checks prevent Carbon Monoxide poisonings, Cracked Heat Exchangers cause the most amount of CO poisonings, Almost all CO poisoning and deaths have occurred in tight homes, and that Insurance Companies cover CO liability claims. More importantly, he’ ll help you understand how you can save your customers lives. Now what is that worth?

Jim Davis
National Comfort Institute - Sheffield Lake, OH
Jim Davis has been in the HVAC industry for over 39 years. In 1978 he became involved in the distribution of Digital Combustion Analyzers and found a great need for education on how to interpret and apply the information they collected. He dedicated himself to spending thousands of hours in the field with contractors, engineers, manufacturers, utilities, government agencies, and code officials trying to address the real issues and problems occurring in the field.
Jim’s input has even been responsible for the development, designs and functions of different combustion analyzers. Jim is recognized as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable persons in our industry when it comes to carbon monoxide and combustion testing. As a senior instructor for The National Comfort Institute, Jim has helped produce the most extensive and comprehensive set of diagnostic procedures and protocols for CO and combustion efficiency analysis. They are based 100% on real field testing, real field conditions and real measured equipment performance. Portions of these procedures and protocols are used by just about everyone in the field doing proper testing.
Jim continues to keep up with new equipment designs, new installation and operating guidelines, new code recommendations etc, then seeks out the truth and shares this through National Comfort Institute’s training courses.
